We dive for world-class antique sea glass throughout the Caribbean and set it in .925 sterling silver. Our glass is purely ocean-tumbled; we never alter it in any way. Most pieces in out collection are 100 - 400 years old.
Silent Flight Studios is a very small company consisting of a married couple (Montana and George) and a highly intelligent dog (Occy). We find all of the artifacts that we use in our jewelry, design each piece individually, and manufacture high-quality sterling silver and vermeil settings to custom fit each artifact.
Montana was born and raised in the Caribbean, and George hails from costal North Carolina. They are almost always on the move, exploring new coastlines as we search for the artifacts we use in our jewelry. Keep track of their adventures in on Facebook or Instagram.
Our journey to create unique and captivating pieces of jewelry begins by diving into shallow costal seas. We focus on historic ports of trade, those magnets of culture and stories that have witnessed the ebb and flow of human activity for centuries. It is here that we find our treasure trove of sea glass, fragments of glass transformed by the relentless tides into beautiful gems.
While swimming along the shoreline allows us to uncover a majority of our sea glass, we also turn to the art of beachcombing. Once we amass a haul of sea glass, the real work begins. We gather together, dedicating countless hours to meticulously sorting our finds. Each piece is carefully examined for its distinct color, size, and quality. It is a labor of love, a joyful undertaking that allows us to reconnect with each individual shard and appreciate its uniqueness.
Although we discover countless pieces of sea glass, only a select few have the honor of being transformed into exquisite jewelry. These chosen ones captivate us with their exceptional beauty and hold within them stories of their past lives.

For years as we navigated our creative journey, our trusty sailboat Silent Flight was our steadfast companion. She provided us access to the most breathtaking sea glass beaches that lie hidden along the Caribbean's shores. Once our jewelry pieces were complete, our faithful cargo van would take on the responsibility of transporting our creations to art shows across the US. We now sell our collection exclusively online an through a select list of retail partners.
